Adidas Half Shells. Adidas now produces a vast range of trainers, covering all types of markets and sports under two main logos. The ADIDAS EQUIPMENT RANGE under the three stripe logo, and the ADIDAS ORIGINALS range carries the classic trefoil logo.

Adidas Half Shells Lo V2 Ink/Red Leather Trainers. Dark ink leather upper, trademark Adidas three stripes and heel tab in maroon red. Large Adidas originals trefoil logo in white on maroon on thick tongue. 'Halfshells' in white to side, maroon suede toe inset, dark inner and synthetic sole, and "half-shell" toe, derived from the shell toe of the Superstar. This dark leather version is an ideal winter shoe. Legend has is that US pro basketball players used to cut the top part of the shell toe off their superstars to aid flexibility and that Adidas responded by producing the half-shell to cater for that market. Either way, it makes a great alternative to the traditional superstar look.
