Aquascutum Clothes. In 1851, the year of the Great Exhibition in Hyde Park, at 46-48 Regent Street John Emary opened a gentlemen's tailors shop. When he was granted the Patent for shower proofing wool fabric - Aquascutum was founded. The name comes from the Latin words for water and shield. The Aquascutum Clothes Collection includes Aquascutum Shirts, Sweaters, Sweatshirts, T-Shirts, Caps, Scarves and Jackets. Also available from Aquascutum are Suits, Trousers, Handbags and Gloves and not forgetting the famous Aquascutum Camel Coat.
